Price Forecasting

EEI uses a structured approach to developing a Market Strategy for its clients.  The complex nature of the financial facilities and asset characteristics demand a focused view that balances analysis with practicality.  The overall driver to our approach is to minimize value at risk, while at the same time, minimizing the cost of implementation.  Typically, fuel cost hedging, virtual bids and offers, and generation offer parameters, are controlled to offer a predictable cash flow from operations.  Portfolios are maintained to keep financial and physical maintenance cost in control.

Since the market is constantly in flux, it is equally important to define thresholds that when crossed, trigger activity that can include changes in finacial structure or putting new iron in the ground.  EEI constantly monitors the market for new opportunities, and automatically conveys vital information to its clients.
